Message

I am honoured to accept the position of Credit Management Consulting Advisor at Naker Rating K.K.

With over 20 years of hands-on experience in this field, I have come to believe that credit management must function not only to reduce credit risk, but also to help expand business opportunities. It is, in my view, an essential function for any company engaged in commercial transactions.

While my contribution may be modest, I will do my utmost to support the consulting initiatives of Naker Rating K.K. by drawing on the knowledge and experience I have accumulated over the years.

Career

1990

Joined SEGA Enterprises Ltd. — engaged in B2B sales of commercial arcade machines, gaining firsthand experience in the importance of credit information and credit limits when dealing with corporate clients.

1994

Experienced his first bad debt collection case following a client’s bankruptcy.

1995

Transferred to the corporate administration department to study bankruptcy law and credit management in response to a surge in bankruptcies. Handled over 40 corporate bankruptcy cases across various industries through 2001.

2004

Proposed and established a dedicated credit management team — appointed as head of credit management operations and sales support for domestic business.

2008

Successfully minimised losses in a major bankruptcy involving a large listed client. Entrusted with credit management support across SEGA’s domestic and international group companies. Developed group credit management systems and resolved more than 190 credit-related issues.

2013

Began receiving speaking invitations from major credit research agencies including Teikoku Databank, Creditsafe and Experian.

2021

Resigned from SEGA Holdings Co., Ltd.

2022–

While serving as director of a public facility in Tokyo, continues to work as Credit Management Advisor — providing lectures and one-on-one consultations for financial institutions and corporate clients. Appointed Advisor at Naker Rating K.K.
